HENSOTHERM® 2C fire protection system for steel

The newly-formulated HENSOTHERM® 2C fire protection system HENSOTHERM® 920 KS is 100% solvent-free, two-component epoxy fire protection coatings for strengthening steel profiles and steel structures both indoors and outdoors. The system impress with its fire resistance times of 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 minutes, the beneficial working properties such as the optimally-adjusted, longer shelf life, the thin layer thicknesses and an achievable corrosivity category of up to C5 High in the system. It can also be used on galvanised components. Bearing in mind the expected environmental requirements, some of the fire protection coatings can also be used without primer and topcoat.

Quickly coated, loaded and assembled
The HENSOTHERM® 2C fire protection system is applied in the workshop and are already optimally protected against mechanical stress and the weather after 24 hours drying time. This means that steel elements that have already been coated can be stored outdoors and/or transported directly to the site of use and installed there so as to save time.

The all-rounder

The new 2-component fire protection system is solvent-free, tested in accordance with AgBB test criteria for VOC emissions from interior-relevant building products and covers fire resistance times of 30/60/90/120 minutes. Therefore, no system change is necessary during coating, and the resulting make-ready times are eliminated. Corrosivity classes of up to C5 High are possible in the system. The optimally adjusted, longer shelf life also allows working with suitable 1-component systems.
