Rulantica – Europa-Park’s water world –
one of the most beautiful bathing experiences in Europe

Rulantica, the water world of the Europa-Park in Rust / Germany, inspires at any time of the year!

Under the umbrella of Rulantica, a Scandinavian-style bathing area with Nordic landscapes and 52 imaginatively designed water attractions, including 38 slides and a wave pool, opens up for young and old. In the outdoor area with its 11,000 m², visitors can expect a Wild River, a brand new interactive water carousel, a Nordic slide world and a heated pool with a year-round pool bar and more.

Due to fire protection, the wooden structures in the interior had to be upgraded from a normal to a flame-retardant building material B1. The fire protection coating system for wood HENSOTHERM® 2 KS AUSSEN was ideal for use in this environment.

The coating system for the wooden structures with an area of approx. 2,000 m² consists of the primer HOLZGRUND SB and the intumescent coating HENSOTHERM® 2 KS AUSSEN. The wood fire protection system must be protected against splashing water and increased humidity after it has dried thoroughly. The system-associated HENSOTOP SB top coat is suitable for this purpose, which was supplied and applied in all required RAL colours for the coloured design of the wooden structures.
