HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Gewebe 1000 E
Flexible cable bandage to form a fire penetration seal for cables and cable support structures
according to EN 1366-3
Inside buildings, especially in modern residential and office buildings, a large number of electrical cables run. Many cable sheaths and insulations are combustible and contribute to the spread of fire in case of fire. In addition, burning dripping of the cable sheaths and insulation can occur, as well as the release of toxic and highly corrosive fire gases, which can lead to smoke poisoning or attack technical equipment and other materials and impair their function.
HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Gewebe 1000 E is an A2 glass filament fabric coated on one side with intumescent HENSOTHERM® 7 KS fire protection coating. HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Fabric 1000 E is classified according to EN 1366-3 as a temporary and permanent fire penetration seal for electrical conduits, electrical installation pipes and cable support structures for a fire resistance duration of up to 120 minutes (ETA 22/0125) to restore the fire safety of massive wall structures provided with openings for electrical supply lines.
Fire penetration seal in accordance with EN 1366-3
HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Gewebe 1000 E
Application as fire protection bandage for electrical cables and cable support systems for encapsulation of toxic fire gases and to reduce burn-up of cable sheathing
Another possible application of HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Gewebe 1000 E is the use as a fire protection bandage for electrical lines and cable support systems to eliminate or reduce fire hazards.
Electrical wiring without cable carriers
Electrical wiring in cable carriers, installation prior to routing
Electrical wiring in cable carriers with side arm
Electrical wiring in riser lines
For this purpose, HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Fabric 1000 E can be used as a full-surface cable sheathing in indoor and protected outdoor areas and inhibit the development of cable fires by reducing the burn-up of cable sheathing and insulation in the event of fire. The HENSOTHERM® 7 KS fire protection coating foams strongly at temperatures above approx. 150 °C and seals cavities around the cables with an insulating layer so that the fire is extinguished.
Complete wrapping of electrical cables, wiring systems and cable support structures (cable trays) with HENSOTHERM® 7 KS Fabric 1000 E can also reduce smoke release by encapsulating toxic fire gases.
