HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic

Water-based sealant for penetration seals and fire-resistant edge, wall and ceiling joints

The HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic is a flexible white acrylic penetrations sealant with ablative fillers, especially formulated to provide excellent fire resistance and fire-resistant edge, wall and ceiling joints and further used to form a penetration seal around combustible- and metal pipes to reinstate the fire resistance performance of a separating element (wall or floor) temporarily or permanently where they have been provided with apertures, which are penetrated by various services such like cable or pipe penetration.

The HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic is designed for indoor use and in protected outside areas. It should not be used in permanently damp areas or in joints with high movements.

No routine maintenance is required although periodic inspection for possible damage is recommended. All penetrations seals and joints subsequently modified should be made good using HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic only.

Fire resistance designs up to EI 120 (120 minutes)
VOC < 1 g/l, silicone-free, low smoke, and halogen-free
When fully dried, paintable with the most coating materials e.g. dispersion paints, alkydresins
Colour: White

Application

Ensure contact surfaces are clean, dry and dust free
Apply between + 5 °C and + 40 °C
Drying times depends on quantity, temperature and relative humidity:
– Dust dry after 15 to 60 minutes
– Fully dried after approx 3 to 5 days
