Building Information Modelling (BIM) for Fire Penetration Seals
Building Information Modelling (BIM) describes a working method for the networked planning, execution and management of buildings and other structures using software. All relevant building data is digitally modelled, combined and recorded.
In addition to the digitalisation of the construction industry, the aim of this method is to significantly reduce the costs of construction projects by enabling people, processes and tools to work together in a targeted manner over the entire life cycle of a building. In this way, a construction project gains transparency, quality, cost and schedule reliability.
We at Hensel are also convinced of this and therefore support innovative and forward-looking BIM projects with planning aids and BIM objects in various levels of detail (LOG 100 to 300) and over 100 formats for all common CAD authoring systems such as Autodesk® Revit, ALLPLAN or Tekla and, of course, also in IFC format.
How can we support you?
We offer architects and building services planners the following free BIM services for our product systems for fire protection penetration seals:
-
- With our Rudolf Hensel Product Selector for fire protection penetration seals, we offer you a free planning aid with which penetration seal solutions can be quickly identified via a web-based search and parameterised BIM objects can also be configured and created to match the penetration. Detailed instructions can be found in the help section and here: Process description and operating instructions (PDF).
- You can find free BIM objects for our product systems in over 100 CAD formats at 3Dfindit.com, partcommunity.com and magicad.cloud.
- A BIM planning template for Autodesk Revit with all tested connections with HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic for joints with detailed instructions can be found here: https://www.rudolf-hensel.de/produkte/hensomastik-acrylic-fuer-fugen-bim
- Do you use Solibri to check the planned fire protection penetration seals (Solibri Extension „Fire Stopping of Service Penetration Checks“)? We will support you in creating the necessary regulations for our product systems.
- Do you use your own software for automated slot and penetration planning or penetration seal planning and would like to use our database of tested TGA lines to create a customised script or set of rules? Talk to us!
- Coming soon: Autodesk® Revit plugin for automated identification and modelling of suitable product systems for fire protection penetration seals based on planned penetrations. We are looking for beta testers with experience in MEP or slot and penetration planning with BIM. If you are interested, please contact us.
- Of course, we will also be happy to help you find a qualified installation company to provide you with an appropriate quotation for a professional execution.
We look forward to hearing about your BIM project.
