HENSOTHERM® 7 KS

HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is an intumescent fire-protection coating for use on both metal and plastic surfaces.

The coating contains no halogens, APEO, borates, fibres or plasticisers. The coating is non-VOC and thus fulfils the criteria of the LEED credit EQ c4.2. Under the French system of emission certificates according to DEVL1101903D and DEVL1104875A, it is classified as emission class A+ (very low emissions).

Applications
At high temperatures in the event of fire, the HENSOTHERM® 7 KS fire protection coating reacts and expands, i.e. it increases significantly in volume, so that a protective insulation layer is formed which delays the passage of heat and can also seal cavities left behind by burning combustible pipes or pipe insulation.

In fire protection penetration seals, HENSOTHERM® 7 KS is used in the HENSOTHERM® NL system for single penetrations (ETA – European Technical Assessment No. 22/0886, fire resistance class up to EI 120 tested in accordance with EN 1366-3) in combination with HENSOTHERM® Spachtel universal for the sealing of uninsulated non-combustible metal pipes (copper up to DN 54 mm, steel up to DN 139.7 mm).
