Burning Characteristics Classified / ASTM E84 (UL 723)

Our fire protection coating systems HENSOTHERM® 490 KS and HENSOTHERM® 370 KS has got a classification according with testing standard ASTM E84 (UL 723). This testing method investigates surface burning characteristics like flame spreading and smoke developing.

Referring to these indices our products are top classified “Class 1” (equivalent “A”) on flammable substrates (e.g. Douglas fir) and none flammable substrates (e.g. cement boards).
