Green Products for the construction of penetration seals

HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS is an ablative, medium viscosity and non-hygroscopic water-based fire protection coating in the embodiments paint, viscosity and spatula (SP). It is a factory-made dispersion coating with organic binders, water, mineral fillers, pigments and additives.

HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS is classified low emission and contains no solvents, borates, plasticizers, halogens, formaldehydes, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO) and silicones.

HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS has been tested according to AgBB and is registered in the DGNB Navigator (CDDWRA). It is classified in VOC emission class A+ (non-VOC) and has a Type III Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) registered at the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. (IBU) as EPD-RHG-20190171-IAA1-DE. In addition, it is very well suited for Minergie-(A-/P-)Eco, corresponds to 1st priority Eco-BKP.

HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS is mechanically resilient, impermeable to water according to DIN 1048, oil and petrol resistant, weatherproof and UV-resistant according to DIN 53 384, resistant to ageing and flexible even with high layer thickness after drying.

The following fire protection systems require or consist of the coating material HENSOMASTIK® 5 KS:

HENSOTHERM® 7 KS viskos is an intumescent fire protection acrylic for joint closure between metallic, wood and plastic substrates and classified as a building material of class E according to DIN EN 13501-1 (corresponds to B2 normally flammable according to DIN 4102-1). Under the influence of temperature in the event of fire, an insulating, compact carbon layer forms at high pressure, which either protects the component from the flames or closes the resulting component opening and thus prevents the transmission of smoke and fire.

The HENSOTHERM® 7 KS coating is free of halogens, APEOs, borates, fibres and plasticizers. With its non-VOC property, the coating meets the requirements of LEED credit EQ c4.2. Due to the French emission certificates according to DEVL1101903D and DEVL1104875A, it is classified in emission class A+ (very low emission).
