HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic Penetration Seal 2 x 50 mm for Cables

The HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic Penetration Seal 2 x 50 mm for Cables (ETA Nr. 23/0318) is a soft seal system comprising two min. 50 mm thick mineral fibre boards ≥ 150 kg/m³ used to form a firestop sealing to reinstate the fire resistance performance of flexible and rigid wall and rigid floor constructions, where they have been provided with apertures for the penetration of single or multiple electrical supply lines.

A blank fire penetration seal may also be installed, temporarily or permanently, as reserve for post-installations.

The HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic Penetration Seal 2 x 50 mm for Cables is supplied as packs of pre-coated boards with final dry film thickness with dimensions of 600 mm x 1000 mm. The mineral fibre boards are cut to size and friction fitted into the supporting element and around penetrating services. Any gap between mineral fibre boards and reveal is closed with HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic and a 20 mm wide circumferential coating is applied by smoothing out the excess material.

The annular gap around penetrating services is sealed with HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic in full depth. No coating of the penetrating services is required. A HENSOTHERM® Service Transit Type ST 250 in available diameters 63, 90 and 110 mm may be friction-fitted for quick post-installations.

As the mineral fibre boards are supplied already coated and ready to use, only HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic is still needed. This guarantees quick installation and makes firestopping with the HENSOMASTIK® Acrylic Penetration Seal 2 x 50 mm for Cables highly cost-effective!
